A long-established field archery club since 1970
Ballands Bowmen is affiliated with the following archery organisations:
Archery GB (AGB) – Target and field archery, both national and international.
National Field Archery Society (NFAS) – Field archery within the UK.
English Field Archery Association (EFAA) – Field archery, both national and international.
These affiliations help ensure that shooting at Ballands Bowmen is conducted safely, responsibly, and in accordance with recognised standards.
Club ethos and shared experience
The Club welcomes and supports all members whatever their ambitions in archery, and whatever type of bow they choose to shoot. Ballands Bowmen is fortunate to have access to a variety of practice venues, both indoor and outdoor, and encourages archers to come together and shoot with other members, whether preparing for competition or simply for the enjoyment of shooting arrows at a target.
There is a wealth of knowledge and experience within the Club, and several members are NFAS and Archery GB qualified coaches who are able to assist with equipment selection and shooting technique
